Textile Mills and Their Machinery
Textile mills were very popular in the USA during the 19th century. During the Industrial Revolution the making of thread, yarn and cloth was almost completely mechanized. Here are some images of textile mills long since abandoned and some of the complex machinery used to make cloth.

| The Roswell Mill was rebuilt in 1882 after its destruction during the Civil War. In 1945 Southern Mills bought The Roswell Manufacturing Company and renamed it Southern Mills.
